    Yep. The 70’s through early 90’s was the era of acid rain. That “hidden” piece of metal is no better an indication of the birth colour than something exposed in the sun.

    hard to say from photos but metallic grain seems too big.
    original metallic flakes are really really small and they should be unpercebtible.
    i do not know what tipe of pain you are using but i can simply give you my opinion.
    use Glasurit paint with the original glasurit formula it is the best paint/colour matching.
