    Another series of MFI questions

    Problems outlined below.....

Car starts fine, idles reasonably fine when cold.

Once warmed up and pulling up to a stop idle stays at either 2200rpm (drops to 1400 if you load car a little but more often just dies completely
and playing with the accelerator doesn't keep it going, it just diesbut then restarts fine.

I don't think the distributor advance is the issue as timing has been triple checked and it advances when it should.

Just wondering anyone else suffered the same symptoms.

Yes one of the check points I have been following Ravis discussion on the relay but think
it all seems good when I play with it manually

Will disconnect and see what happens

What I really don’t get is the slow reduction of revs to zero while stationary not an immediate complete shut down
but a gradual decline to stalling.

Hook up your timing light and a fuel pressure gauge on the return circuit at the fuel filter console,,,,now watch both as the engine slowly drops idle speed. Maybe one of the two will tell you something.
