    This doc for late '71 MY (dated Mar. 9, 1971) shows Koni shocks for T & E coupes as 402.

    Did a search and found that ThomasTe presented a list of codes (2008)
    Re : Koni Shocks he shows
    M103 Koni Shocks
    M402 Koni Shocks front with “S” brakes & Koni Shocks rear.

    Believe my hand letters (transcribed) may be incorrect,
    Since all my notes of codes did not have an M before the number.
    After studying my notes I actually had an arrow looped ( looked like a G )...to the number from Koni Shocks .
    Thanks for correction, now makes sense.
    Should be M103

    M103 = Koni for 70 & 71
    M402 = Koni from 1972

    G was in my notes ...I have seen M used I other posts , yes Koni 3” struts and believe they were aluminum S calipers (will check on shelf)
    M490 ...yes did have left antenna , loud speaker and noise suppression on car but not in their description provided .
    CO2.....reviewed my notes , corrected to rest of USA.

    Good to see you have this service have friend with 70 needing info but he has what he believes are the original engine and trans , can you verify this if numbers provided ?
    Thanks

    Koni 3” struts can only have cast iron calipers, aluminum S calipers require the 3.5" struts. Knowing the calipers with the struts is very important with this option.
    I can get the engine #, even if not known. Transmission # may not be available, but can usually tell if it is likely original. The more VIN & engine & transmission # sets I get the better my understanding. I like to get the production # to verify, and it also helps to build the database. If the compliance decal on the left door latch post exists, then the date code is very helpful.
