Think there is a rubbery plug/stopper. Bought one once cause I think it said Webasto or something else that triggered my buy instinct. Don't know where it is. Think I remember it being Sirra Madre.

The torsion bar cover for a 911 is curved and won't work. BUT the torsion bar cover for the 356 is flat and fits perfectly. That's what I used and you'd never know it wasn't factory original. In fact, it's probably what the factory used. Just needs some paint. I've never compared the part numbers.

This area in left hand drive cars was changed at chassis number 308 070 and 500 419 (April/May 1967) when the gas heater was modified. Another change occurred at the introduction of the 1968 models (August 1967). Early 912s also differed from the 911 and featured a different lid over the optional blower/gasoline heater.
In 1969 the all new forced air ventilation system brought additional changes. The 912 again had a different lid over the optional blower/gasoline heater. A final change was made at the introduction of the 1973 model year. I'd love to have photos that show the differences for my upcoming Authenticity book revision.
RHD cars are fun in a totally different way. I'd like photo of those too.
