    Roof tent

Already canceled several planned holiday this year.
So the idea was created to have a 20 days drive with my family in two LWB and roof tents.
Well, the load of the roof is limited to 50kg.

I ve several Karo and Leitz roof racks, but only used for skis, bikes or wheels.

    Any recommendations?

well, you do know my solution,

    but

buy two xj jeeps, these are in a lo price region, good 6cyl engine, and no problem with a roof rack...
karim can tell you about the advantages of the jeep..
any landy will do it, too...
there is a guy in a 996 4s cruising the US region with a roof rack,
    59 750 pre unit triton
63 650 gray silver bikinitub triumph thunderbird
70 650 astralred silver triumph bonneville
    65 912 slate gray "erwin"
    73 914 ravennagreen "ferdl"

Need extra space getting to the racetrack

To get to race tires to the track plus the small floor jack, jack stands, canopy, tent, chairs, etc.

Front tires fit in the trunk, rear tires in the roof box. Held position up to 110mph then it started to slide back.
Repeat...do not wax the drip rails prior to departure, slide back happens at about 80mph.

Do they make tents that fit 10-foot tall Germans?
