    Old Porsche Dealer Signs

I have an aluminum Porsche Dealer sign that I have not seen another like it. Painted on a 1/8 inch thick aluminum, 74" high by 60" at the top section.
2 piece bolted together 1/3 down, at an angle to let rain water off to one side. Came from a Porsche Dealer in Koln Germany I am told. Any other info on this sign would be great to have.

Not sure this qualifies as an old Porsche dealer sign but it's original and authentic from Porsche. Remember when Porsche had a factory repair facility in Reno, NV? Local Porsche dealers throughout the United States sent cars to this facility that they couldn't fully repair. I think most of the cars they worked on were under factory warranty but as you can see from this sign, they worked on all years of Porsche. This facility in Reno was a complete factory repair facility that could do any mechanical, body and interior work needed and take it back to as new factory standards. A good friend worked there and gave me this sign when they shut it down. It's hung on my garage wall ever since...probably 20+ years.

PORSCHE had a dealership there too. It was a small nondescript shop with a show room ( couple cars) They had a burgundy 993 turbo S on the showroom floor the day I stopped by & a few shop bays (3-5) detached from the sales floor;nothing fancy at all. PORSCHE Of America was headquartered there before going to Atlanta,Georgia. I actually went into their new brick corporate building with a large PORSCHE CREST, mounted on the outside and ordered & paid for my coa for my 72’T.
One of the very German, mechanics offered & I accepted a ride in a new Boxter he was taking out for a short test run!
So, I think you have a factory manufacture dealer sign!
