Eric, slowing down and turning off the daily screed is key... anxiety induced depression is now widespread.
Tell us more about that caravan, Mark... some of us are suckers for anything old, on wheels, aluminum and livable.
Shutting down some wilderness areas is a mystery. I mean, isn't getting out in the wild the perfect way to socially distance?

Today we took a hike in nearby wetlands. Lived here most of my life and never tire of exploring places like this. Stress be gone.

Russ, It was built by the now defunct Caravan Coachbuilders 'Auckland Caravan Co' in 1958. 22 ft on a steel chassis. Steam formed timber frame with native New Zealand timber plywood interior. The floors are 1" Rimu Timber tonge and groove plank. The exterior is all Alloy. !5" wheels and she weighs heaps but behaves like a dream under tow. She is pretty much original but has modern electrics with Camping Ground power connection. We are going to give her some LOVE oneday soon and being Hi End Interior Fabric Importers the interior is going to be out of this world. Silks, satins. wools and leathers whilst retaining the timber surfaces. The exterior is in good condition but the roof was brush painted at some time so I am undecided what to do. Spray the roof and polish the body, polish the whole thing, what colour paint bla bla bla.
She is road legal and the electrics are 'certified' with 'plug in' ability if at a Camping ground. I am on the hunt for some period correct bulk head lights.
It has side awnings that are in good condition, a 75 gallon copper fresh water tank.
All the windows open including the 'celestrial' windows up top.
I was picking up some 911 parts when I saw it down a driveway and asked the owner ( original) about it, he was getting on in years and was uncertain what he wanted to do with it. Long story short I offered him some $$ and he accepted and I drove off with it there and then.
When we get to the Renovation I should start a Thread. I have almost no pictures of it but will post the one I know I have.

John, thats the "RITZ" on wheels.
Mark
An aging Ritz, it’s a 1990 model. I don’t really care for the newer ones. But I imagine most folks here are aware of my fondness for fixing up old stuff.

Eric is so right about stress. We are being besieged on so many fronts. I’m an old guy so I’m not worried about myself, but I am really stressed about the life my teenage grandchildren are going to have. Quite a legacy we’re leaving them. Bothers me a lot.
Spending next week at the Oregon Coast, my favorite refuge. I even sleep well at night there.
Stay safe,
John

I bugged out in late February and only go back when necessary. Why would I leave this?
