Sithot, I agree, reminds me of our place in Page County. Getting so I have to fight over it with my oldest son who lives in D.C.

If I lived in D.C. I'd be fighting with you too!

It's hard to be stressed riding down a gravel country road with the sound of a BMW flat twin

You got that right, Tom. It was hard to say good bye. We go to the ranch every year and enjoy its spectacular beauty; I also enjoy the physical work I do with my friend while there. Clearing trails, fixing fences, all sorts of things- its great work and feels good at the end of the day. That cold beer on the deck (pic 2) really feels well deserved.

This year we also fished the Blackfoot River. 3 drift boats with 2 anglers and 1 guide per boat on a half day float. It was really a highlight as the fishing and scenery were fantastic.

Wow Nick. Is there a place to park an old Airstream there?

    Cheers,

John- we are fortunate to stay on our friends ranch in one of the 3 cabins on property. Research Swan River Valley to see if there are places to plunk down the Airstream up there; I’d bet there is. It’s not too far from Flathead and Whitefish Lakes and of course Glacier National Parks is in the region. Being that far north the season is pretty short. It’s summed up very well on a needlepoint pillow on a couch in the cabin. It says: “Montana- 3 months of guests- 9 months of winter.” Fairly apt description, but man is the summer nice!
