Well, the poll is closed and it looks like the forum has spoken. Despite popular opinion, I am going to stick with the original badging for now. I appreciate all the comments and it has been an instructive process for me. Thank you.
Yours don't look bad, so I can see you approach. My approach is my car is a driver and a keeper despite the level of restoration. So if it is fresh now (as it is) in 20 years it will be faded, as will other things on the car, so it will all be consistent I hope. What's the saying ? Restore to #1, drive down to #2?

Yep. That was me. I can’t get enough of this car. Absolutely nothing like an S coupe. I love my E, but this car is an absolute beast of a machine.
