1970 Targa Door Garnishes - Need Pics

    Hi All,

Does anyone have pictures of the correct door garnishes for a 1970 Targa? I searched the site, but found no good pictures. The PET catalog also calls out different part numbers between Coupe and Targa, and I need Targa pics. Specifically, I need pics of the rear side so I can see the structure/frame.

    Thanks,
    Dennis

I have found bring a trailer to be an excellent reference site
go to bring a trailer and in the search bar type in your desired car
it will show you pictures of cars that have sold over the last few years
you have to use judgement in believing what you see to be original or other
but i believe you will get hooked on using this.

P.S. there will also be dialogue of the bidders and kibitzers making comments on the car so you might get clues for this as well

    Hi Bob,

Thanks for the recommendation. I generally would agree, but what I need wont be on BAT. My 70 Targa was from IKEA, as in came in multiple boxes. I don’t think the door garnishes that came with it are actually from a 70 Targa. Hence my question about pics from the rear of the garnishes.

If 1972 is useful, I can take pics of mine.

    Hi Peter,

Thank you for the offer, but I believe the 72 are much different from the earlier one.

    Thanks

    Hi Peter,

I will post pictures of my USA 70T targa this weekend, it’s original or refurbished to original. Please let me know which specific areas you would like.

I think my original question was poorly worded, so I'll try again. Here are the door garnishes that came with my '70 Targa project. I did some additional searching and believe these are for an earlier car than 1970. So, if folks can confirm my understanding is much appreciated. Also, what are differences between Coupe and Targa door garnishes?

Yes, those are earlier. I have original targa garnishes, as well as 72/73 garnishes in my parts stash and will post a photo this weekend.

Hi Rick - thanks for the help.

While not correct do you know if they would fit a 70 targa?

I think those are for a SWB, but I won't stake my life on it!
