The early Porsche 911 is a visceral and pure sports car which created a legend. With its trademark rear-mounted, air-cooled flat-six engine and precise steering, the classic 911 offers a driving experience like no other car. The motorsports successes of the 911 have furthered its legacy and collectability.

This 1967 Porsche 911 is described by the seller as a highly original, unrestored California car with 128,168 miles on the odometer. The seller shares that he is the third owner, and the previous owner kept the car for 48 years. The seller states that the car’s driveline is numbers matching and comes with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

The Porsche 911 has an unmistakable silhouette which evokes passion in the hearts of car fanatics the world over. Its timeless styling has continued for over half a century to the current 911. The seller reports that the vehicle has been repainted once in the past in its factory Polo Red paint color. The paint remains in good condition with a high gloss and minor blemishes. There are paint chips on the door edges and on the roof lip. The seller affirms that there is no rust evident and no known rust repairs. All exterior lighting is stated to work properly. All glass and rubber seals are noted to be in good condition with no water leaks. At some point in the past, the entire undercarriage had a rubberized coating applied to it.

The original black leatherette upholstery and carpet exhibit wear, but no holes or tears. The seat cushions are noted to have lost some elasticity and the seat recline adjustment works intermittently. The original headliner remains and exhibits notable patina from decades of use. The sun visors do exhibit some sagging. The heat is said to be functional. The original radio is now connected to a Bluetooth speaker fitted to the dashboard. The seller notes that the clock doesn’t keep time with the ignition off, and there was an aftermarket alarm fitted at one point. One of the artifacts of this alarm system includes a small hole drilled on the dashboard.

The seller shares that the 130-horsepower, 2.0-liter flat-six is original and starts quickly, even when cold. If stored for an extended period, the engine will smoke on a cold start. Once warmed up, the engine is noted to run well with minor oil seepage reported. A vintage Perma-Tune CDI ignition module is fitted, but the seller doesn’t believe it to be functional. The seller notes that the five-speed transmission shifts smoothly.

The manual steering is noted to have some play and the seller believes that it requires an alignment. Per the seller, the suspension was serviced three years ago, there are no visible leaks on the dampers and the bushings look “okay.” The four-wheel disc brakes are fully functional, with no issues reported. The wheels are stated to be in good condition with light surface pitting. The Nitto NT-257 are sport tires sold during the early 1990s. While they have an estimated 5,000 miles on them, the tires have 1993 date codes and should be replaced based on age alone.

A clean California title will be provided by the seller. The vehicle is currently financed and the loan will be settled by the seller.

This 1967 Porsche 911 is a sports car in its most fundamentally pure form, distinct in nearly every facet, from its driving and seating position, to the way the pedals are mounted to the nature of the rear-engined layout to that unique air-cooled Porsche flat-six sound.
