I predict the L strap is missing , a lot of them are , the transaxle rebuilders are forgetful . I'll post a picture tomorrow .

Thanks Ed and Richy. I figured something was missing. It doesn’t show in the pdf PET but I havenn’t looked in my original part manuals yet. NLA I would guess, so a picture would help me make one.

Here ya go Ravi, that's a 6 mm bolt for the strap, one hole is 8 mm for the trans stud, about halfway up the nose cone.

Clutch cable support strap, 915. I tightly bolt 1/2 of the strap to the “L” bracket and barely snug the other 1/2 with a nyloc, so I don’t have to counter hold the bolt on R&I. G

Thanks gents. Precisely what I was looking for. Should be easy to fashion a bracket with those specs.

For the record, the L bracket part number is 901.423.369.00 and it was in stock in a yellow zinc finish at the Porsche Canada distribution centre and delivered free (as always) to my friendly neighbourhood Porsche dealer in 48 hrs. C$13.12

Stoddard has it too, at a somewhat higher price with US exchange rates being what they are.

It is shown in the current PET. I just missed it.

My 1969 911 has the “L” bracket but the strap is broken. Does anyone sell just the strap (I couldn’t find one), or do I need to fabricate one myself?

    Many thanks, as always

Porsche sells the strap. Grey as original. 911.424.341.03 or 911.424.341.04.

All buttoned up. Thanks Gordon for the double nut suggestion. Did the same thing on the case so I wouldn’t have to undo the nut on the transmission nose stud. Not a lot of room to get one’s fingers in there but I did get a lock washer on the M6 strap bolt after a lot of cursing, instead of a nylock nut. If I ever have to take that off, I will be going the nylock route!!! At any rate, both grey straps in place and the fuel line hoses clamped properly too.
