exhaust/heat exchangers for a 1971 911S?

I'm with Steve , Porsche Classic muffler , significantly better cosmetically and functionally . It sounds like the originals . All the heat exchangers are basically reproductions but are very acceptable .
The gallery of photos of the 700 mile 1970 "S" should give you some help. Differences between 70 and 71 were minimal. Hopefully I've posted this link correctly. https://www.flickr.com/photos/807244...7630169538658/

That was a GREAT set of photos for that 700 mile 1970S! Interesting to see the exhaust (heat exchangers) look identical to mine (posted a photo of mine).
I was worried that my '71S should have the heat collector (or whatever you'd call it)... on the one side (& not the other). I'll post a photo of the Sierra Madre SSI exchangers they sell for a 1971S. They look very different from the heat exchangers on my car.

So... that last photo, is the set of exchangers that came on my 1971 911S with 41K original miles on it. I'm cleaning them up & repainting them the correct high heat gray. BUT... when contemplating buying the SSI exhaust, and looking at Sierra Madre's site... they show the pair of heat exchangers below... for my (MFI) '71S. Which TOTALY threw me off. So much so... that I took my heat exchangers over to Ed at Kundensport (Oxnard, CA). He told me were the correct exchangers for my '71S. Then I was headed to LA (for other things) and dropped by Dave at TRE Motorsports. Dave took one look at my exchangers & also told me they were correct. And also told me to keep my "original black" rubber hose... as it was clearly original & in great shape.
SO.. THE BIG QUESTION: Sierra Madre seems to be showing the wrong set of heat exchangers for a '71S (MFI)... correct? As the heat exchangers should look like mine... and the '70S with 700 miles on it (the flicker photos). Correct?

Sierra Madres exchangers...
You are welcome to cut that off as its for a 72 , not 71. For economy of inventory, given what low volume these parts are in 2020, vendors cannot afford to stock different types for each model year. This is not 1976 anymore. They have to sell what fits the most cars. Realize originally there was a different left side heat exchanger for 71, 72, and 73.

I had my muffler and heat exchangers for my '70E project ceramic coated. The standard grey coating looks to be a good match to the original heat exchangers shown above and to the VHT SP117.
I believe the earlier cars through '71 has this color exhaust while the '72/'73 cars had a duller grey finish. Correct me if I am wrong.

After looking more closely at my freshly coated exhaust and comparing to a VHT SP117 spray-out, I think the SP117 is closer to the correct color.
