    Mfi speed switch/rpm transducer

    Hi
We repaired 2 of these switches for an mfi 911 as per the info on pelican. I posted there too.
We made a signal generator and were able to see the relay energize about 1500 and de-energize at 1300. But when we increased it to about 2200 rpm the switch shut off again.
Warren’s (Early S man) mentions that the relay energizes at 1500 and de-energizes at 1300. I cannot find any reference about it shutting off again at 2200.
Does anyone know if this is correct?

Definitely not correct. Did you try it in the car? Maybe the signal from your signal generator is not what the transducer is expecting. You can easily test it by manually revving the engine with the throttle linkage to keep it at high RPM, then press the microswitch with your other hand. The RPMs should drop until 1300, go back up to 1500, drop again, etc.
