I’m going to jump in with my 70S, 12/69 production. Turned into a race car in the early 70’s, recently returned to the street as an Outlaw. G

last tuesday, I took a 330 mile drive up california's coastal hwy1... an hour and half driving north to the golden gate bridge in san francisco, over the bridge, and then another 2 hours on hwy1, north of the bridge.
the drive was remarkable, scenic and mello.
about 150 miles in....the steering became heavy...and turned out to be a cracked and leaking valve stem. i put on the spare and moved on.
by far, the highlight of the trip was meeting Ron Cavallo, a pure gentleman, and so kind, he has a silver 69S that he bought new in Monterey, and still has it today, (and it is the best feeling car I have ever been in)
he drove me around to fix my tire. thanks Ron, (you taught me much in 4 hours, i dont even drive the same after leaving your place)
