Anyone have experience with Yamabond or Sikaflex?

I am going to be working on a #8 nose bearing leak and wanted to know if anyone has experience with either or both of these sealants?

Yes on Yamabond. Rebuild my engine 3 years ago. No leaks. Easy to work with just don’t take too much time to set the cases.

I notice there is a Yamabond 5 and was wondering if that is an improved sealant or the Yamabond 4?

If u have to seal a nose bearing after assembly, do what u have to do. I’ve never glued a nose bearing in 40 years, and never had a leak. I lube the Oring with Dow Corning 111.

I am not splitting the case, just doing the nose bearing leak. If you never have glued the nose bearing then the guy that did the over hauled of your engine he did a great job, but for the rest of us that have a #8 bearing leak, we have to deal with it in our own way whether it is going to split the case or trying to temporarily stop or at least slow it down.
