Seat belt bolt size - upper B column

    Hello guys!
I have welded in upper seat belt fasteners in the B-column in my 67 like the LWB cars. Threaded plate from Lloyd. But which size is the threads? It is smaller than the usual threads and a bit bigger than standard 8mm bolt. Are the bolts higher strenght than normal bolts (8.8)?

Correct, as far as it goes. SAE 7/16-20 is also virtually interchangeable with M11x1.25, which may be easier to find in many parts of the world.

Thanks for your answer! Are you sure the B-post threads on LWB cars also are as large as 7/16? I have a 71 tub which have smaller hole, but will double check!
Also, anyone know of a good type/supplyer of automatic 3-point belts which look ok and has a direct fit in a late SWB car (with added B-post point)?

All bolts in Porsches are metric.
    Never imperial.

Except early seat belt fasteners. US DOT mandated that size and thread. All cars that were ever intended to be sold in the US had 7/16-20.
