'. . . This 1970 Porsche 911S is a Signal Orange coupe that was sold new by Vasek Polak Porsche Audi of Hermosa Beach, California in January 1970 according to the selling dealer, subsequently spending time in California and West Virginia before being relocated to Dubai in 2014. The car returned to the US in June 2020, at which point it was acquired by the selling dealer. Power is from a 2.2-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, and service in preparation for the sale included a throttle adjustment as well as replacement of the windshield washer pump, several hoses, brake fluid, and more. This 911S is offered in New York with an owner’s manual, a partially-stamped service booklet, service records back to 2014, a Porsche Production Specifications certificate, a tool kit, and a clean Ohio title.

The car was finished in Signal Orange from the factory, and was partially repainted in the late 1990s according to the selling dealer. The paint is said to have been measured with a micrometer. Cracks are noted in the engine lid along with a handful of chips around the body.

Polished 15” Fuchs wheels with black recesses are mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires showing April 2017 date codes. A matching spare wheel and jack are housed in the front trunk. The selling dealer notes replacement of the brake fluid in June 2020.

The interior is trimmed in black leatherette and features a period push-button AM/FM Blaupunkt radio. VDO instrumentation includes a central tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline flanked by a 150-mph speedometer and supplementary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 76k miles.

The 2.2-liter flat-six features mechanical fuel injection and produced 180 horsepower at 6,500 rpm when new. Work carried out in June 2020 included changing the oil and filter, adjusting the throttle, installing new heater and oil hoses, and replacing the windshield fluid washer pump
