    Ignition breakdown

    For the brains trust.

    Whilst accelerating under load passing through 3500 RPM the tachometer swings wildly to the stop, and at the same time the car loses power, as if the rev limiter is engaging........ keeping it under 3500 Rpm all normal again.

    I’m thinking rotor, but opinions would be appreciated.

    I think there is a spring on the rotor.
    Maybe not working as designed.

    I was thinking it might be the rotor, as it feels like the rev limiter is engaging.......but will check both suggestions, as I try to nut it out.

    So not the coil......swapped it for a known good one, same problem....��
