Porsche 911 Five Speed 915 Model Transaxle

This ad is for a used OEM 915 five speed transmission for a Porsche 911. This style five speed 915 transmission was used from 1972 through 1985. The model number is 915/44 and was removed from a 1977 Porsche 911 S daily driver coupe with 75,500 miles and was replaced by one with a limited slip. It has a new input shaft seal and comes with a new clutch cable. All in all this is a decent used transmission with no known issues and functioned well with no grinding or popping out of gear.

This particular magnesium 915 case is one of the best. It is not only low weight but also has steel in the main bearing area. It has a removable neck for the easy access to the main shaft seal and last but not least it has the strong 8/31 differential. The only downside I can see for the an early 911 is that the transmission is setup for an electric speedometer and as you know many of the early 911 models came with a manually driven speedometer and as such this would have to be addressed.

I am asking $1,950 for the transmission plus $356.60 in freight and paypal fees

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks in advance for your interest.

    Henry
