    Help with mystery wire

    I was cleaning up some of the connections in my car, 72 911T, this morning and found this wire coiled up neatly underneath others. It's part of a loom that comes from the front of the car...color green terminated with a connector. Car runs fine ...Just don't know the purpose of this wire so I'm reaching out for help.

    Any ideas are welcome...

    No telling what you have since none of that wiring is standard. That looks like a ceramic resistor at top of picture, not used for a 72. Also looks like non-standard C.D. box just below it. If car is working well I'd leave well enough alone.

    Ed, Thanks...it's running well. Think i will leave it alone. Yes, it has the Crane Fireball Electronic ignition from the P.O.
    So what is the purpose of the ceramic resistor?
