    Same question as to what year they were for?

    I have not gotten to my seats yet. So forgive my ignorance.

    Are these bases different than the stock Recaro comfort seat bases?

    carl, you need bases like this for sports seats or buckets. because the standard / comfort rails don't fit here. there are such bases that can be folded or rigid. by both scheel and recaro. as the mountings for the rails are standardized, they also fit crosswise - means scheel seat on recaro base and recaro seat on scheel base. Hope I could help a bit. regards
