    906 Lower Valve Covers

    I have been after a set of 906 lower valve covers for my 911R prototype engine build. Lots of hunting and asking around. That sort of part does not really show up on ebay.

    Last year as Ernie W. and I were walking around the Phoenix Club, I mentioned settling for a set of early sand cast aluminum covers. He generously informed me that it is the same cover. One of those things you never see unless you have an eye like Ernie!

    A little machine work some texturing to replicate the sand cast surfaces. Then off to Ernie for a DOW coated magnesium looking finish.
