Also, for anyone considering any type of move out of the state, be aware it can be tricky without incurring penalties.

Our soon to be conservative SCOTUS may take a dim view of such restraints on interstate commerce.

Supposedly you will still be able to buy new gas cars from out of state. Guess those border dealerships are going to have business go through the roof (perhaps I should start one) and CA's current dealership system will shrink, with most becoming service centers.

In any case, might not even still be here in 2035 and move to better pastures and I have a pretty good feeling this "mandate" (which was an executive order by one man) will be pushed down the road. The infrastructure is just not there and won't be even in 15 years. Look at the CA politicians flailing about with more mundane issues and failing day after day. Newsom's order felt like a Hail Mary from a guy who knows he's going to be recalled and pandering.

if you saw , Tesla "battery day" (you can probably U tube it) You will see that battery architecture is changing. Having a wire come into your house to provide electricity will be like having a wire to make a telephone call. ...so just step back and remember the development of "getting on line" Soler power, the ability to store it and use as necessary will be as common as todays cell phones. so .... just like now were ATT is not bothering with putting fiber or wire infrastructure in place to meat future demand.... P.G.and E.. will not be putting up utility pole and running wire to residential neighborhoods There will always be collector cars ... I would not worry about that disappearing, there will probably be a fight to define collector cars but that has some what been grandfathered all ready
