I Need Educaiton Re: Small Font Vs. Large Font

I am trying to fully comprehend the distinctions between a "small font" DFS wrench and a "large font" DFS wrench. I think I understand, but want to be sure.

Below are two assortments of same-size DFS wrenches.

Which are considered "small" and which are considered "large"?

And which tool kits are correct for "small" vs. "large" font wrenches? (I understand that the SWB cars had large font with milled ends, but did some versions of "small font wrenches also get milled ends?)

It is difficult for me to tell unless I have a direct comparison in front of me, then it seems more clear. Is there some distinction that makes the difference recognizable separately?

    Thank you.

Yes, there are small font wrenches with milled ends.

I think it's safe to say that most of us believe that, in general, DFS wrenches for all years were large font with milled edges. They are, at the very least, the gold standard and nobody is going to question them.

Okay, dude, if you love great writing, re-read your response.

Is it photo 1, then photo 2, or are you making two separate, contradictory comments on photo 1?
