    W: Signal Yellow 1972 911S Coupe (T or E Considered)

    Hello all!

Wanted a 1972 911S Coupe in Signal Yellow

I sold my Albert Blue 72 911E last week and I have a big 1972 Porsche 911 shaped hole in my life.

Since I have an almost unhealthy love of Signal Yellow, I would love to find a nice sorted Driver (or better condition) 911S (T and E will be considered) to use and enjoy immediately. I'm not hung up on originality and I am ok with some smaller mechanical or cosmetic issues but I do not wish to deal with any rust repairs.

    Cheers!

While not 100% stock (rear flares), this one looks to still be available.

Let us know what you think? Apart from the rear flairs + some bolt-on-type stuff, this car looks pretty decent --- and in my favorite color, too

'Sides --- who knows? . . . if you pass on it, somebody else here might be interested in it

    'At's how I found my car . . .

Good news, the 72 911S is coming to join my family!

I performed a PPI and a deep dive into its ownership history, spoke with a couple of its former owners and found out the good, bad and ugly.

This is not one for the purist (incorrect, RS flares, wheel finish, black trimmed lights etc) but I'll be making some changes to make it my own (some period correct others not) but my main objective is to drive it.... lots!

    . . . sounds a you made the deal? . . .

'. . . This highly desirable 911S example is finished in attractive Signal Yellow with Black Interior. It was delivered by Holbert's Porsche-Audi- VW Dealership in Warrington, PA on July 26 th, 1972. It is only one of very few fitted from the factory with a Sunroof. It recently underwent a detailed restoration by previous ownership to elevate this 2.4s to current condition. The prior owner invested over $70,000 alone to rebuild the numbers matching engine and transmission back to peak operating condition. During the restoration, a set of factory RS steel rear-wheel flares were added for a sportier look and the ability to fit larger tires as used on the Carrera RS variant.

Beautifully restored from top to bottom, this 911 2.4s is a well sorted example ready to be used at any show or touring event. Included in the sale are owner’s manuals, restoration receipts, tools and much more. If you are looking for an early 911s with a rare factory sunroof, this example is ready to be enjoyed equally on the show field or on the open road!
