    911 70´s Seal & Rubber restoration , OEM, aftermarket ?

    Hello everybody,
    Hope you’r well
I searched on forum but can’t find....
My 1970 MYcar will be painted and I have a doubt for seal kit to mount all the car
What is the n’est solution from price to quality?
Should I opt for OEM or reproduction ?
    What are the best supplier?
What about the SMC restoration kit compared to unit seal except price ?
Many Tks to help me for the best choice
    (S model 2.2l)

LOTS of discussion on this topic and, for once, there seems to be what passes for a consensus around here: The factory seals are almost always superior to aftermarket. Your dealer is your friend in this case.

Agreed. I went with factory everything. Only dissatisfaction is the door seals which don't have the bump at the leading edge where the wind whistle comes from. Easy to plop some dum dum in there and accomplish the same thing.

There is no universal answer here as it may vary from seal to seal. International Mercantile makes some nice stuff but, again, there seems to be broad agreement that the factory seals are the way to go.
