Thread: Where to mount the antenna?

    My template shows 267 mm from rear most edge of fender, and 95 mm from fender edge at cowl strip.
    Mine seems to be in the same position as Ed’s….

    Before drilling make a final test with the antenna base that the mark is in right position, so the antenna will be straight when its folded out.

    Hi Everyone:

    In the process of restoring my 71T and I need your help to determine the correct hole size (in the fender) for a Hirschmann 4900 LS18. The original left fender was replaced with a Porsche factory fender but it doesn’t have the antenna hole.

    I can give you my existing dimensions , if you did not get info yet
    I am just ready to mount mine same model inside the fender panel….
    anyone have photo/dimensions of the mount

    Thanks Frank for the offer. I am already passed this task and have already drilled the hole and mounting the antenna.
    I ended up using the inside diameter of the aluminum collar to determine the fender hole size. See pic below:

    So checking the hardware that came for my installation ,looks like this set is not accurate ?
    What year is this set correct for ?

    Looks like I will need a correct set of hardware …..
    anyone want to trade or sell correct set ?
