WTB or WTT: Pair of Recaro Sport Seats Needing Recovering

I’m restoring a ‘73 with a black sport seat interior, and looking to convert it to a brown interior in the process. I’d like to buy a set of factory sport seats that need to be recovered, as the original factory black vinyl sport seats that were in the car are in excellent condition and are too nice to recover.

I’m also open to working a trade on sport seats needing recovering for the original black vinyl ones that I have.

I had the same dilemma with my 72 sports. In the end I had them recovered but, sold the original 72 covers to a very willing buyer. As nice as those are, someone will love to get them especially if they have to have foam and or webbing replaced.

Michael, thanks for your note - I never thought of that as a solution, but that might be a good outcome.

Hi I might be able to help you out. I do have a set 72-73 sport seats who need a total new upholstery. I do have the tilting frames with it. If interested pm me personally.

    Greetings
