    Thank you Jacques!

    Dear all,

    due to a messy family situation (spread between Italy, Belgium, Czechia and UK), exacerbated by the difficult of movement related to the covid pandemic, I have missed the 2020 ESR European gathering. And I am also far from some of my cars, now being able to enjoy only my 964 Turbo 3.6.

    But there are reasons to be happy, 'cause the International Porsche Fellowship is very supportive ... I've just received this sticker today from #thenetherlands 🇳🇱 from Jacques (pss), fellow member of the #early911sregistry n.2971 ... a real "Porscheman" and a gentleman ... looking fwd the covidshit going to end soon and we can meet again.

    too much honor....what can we do....clean the attic out and dig out old folders.

    However, I did a little driving today and picked up my Targa after an engine restoration, ready for the next 200,000 km.

    wow, that's a real "piece of cream"!
    There were police targas in Germany too (but these are probably as rare as white elephants today).
    But I wonder why in some countries the Targas were preferred to the Coupes in police cars?
    Do you have an explanation?

    The officers were supposed to leave the roof off at all times, no matter what the weather was like. Real men.

    Thank you for the explanations and the picture that is forever burned into my brain:

    An intersection in the late 1960s / early 1970s,
    anywhere in Europe,
    in the middle is an open Porsche Targa with a policeman in a smart uniform and
    regulates the traffic.
