MFI stalled and will not start

I have a 1973 911 mfi. Just took it out for a long ride, 45min-and on the way back it stalled and would not start. would turn over but not start. I can hear the pump running. let it sit for an hour still nothing. Was not firing. I towed it home and tied to start it again. It fired for a second would not catch and would not fire again. Any ideas?

Take out fuel sender, look in tank to see if you have gas, do not believe gauge until you verify

could also be the brass sock at the tank outlet....they will clog with rust from the tank....looks like mud

Although it sounds like a fuel issue, I always start by checking for spark at the plugs. If you have spark then move to fuel outlet at the rear fuel filter. If no fuel there then go back to the electric pump. Keep working upstream until you find the issue.
