    Hole behind gas tank

Just checking...I can't seem to see what the hole at the center of the rear of the gas tank is for. My car is a 1971 with Fuel Pump at the rear.

my car is a 1971, but the fuel pump is up front...And the sheet metal hole is where wires goes down to the pump.

Hi Simon, are you referring to the ~1” diameter hole in the center of the panel directly behind the fuel tank? If so, my research for my ‘69 restoration showed that the wiring for the front mounted fuel pump passed through that hole.

    Rick
