    Fuel PUMP replacement 2.0S

    Greetings all,

The front behind the gas tank fuel pump is leaking through the 2 electrical wires joints. Hereafter you may find Pics of the pump.
I searched for the ref number printed on the pump, but no joy. I 'd like to keep the same installation setup.
Engine is 2.0S 1968 running on Weber 40IDS

I do have as spare parts a 3.0SC fuel pump which could be mounted same way, but I do not know if compatible or not with carbs.
Also have a gold FACET, but needs to be mounted vertical and that does not fit behind the gas tank, so need to do a bit of work to install it.

    Any help/pics/ref numbers are welcomed

These are very common pumps used for US, European and Asian carbureted cars and trucks from 1955-. They will work, but you wouldn't want the later models that have threaded (instead of push-on) inlet and outlets.

    AC Delco EP42S
    6-9 psi, 20 gph, 3/8 in. Hose Barb Inlet/Outlet

Here are 2 common cross-reference numbers:
    GM 6472382
    Bosch 69405

The genuine GM parts are available from Amazon for $49.78. You should be able to find one local to you.

I don't believe your car came with that fuel pump , I'm used to seeing a Bendix pump on the engine compartment relay board . Similar Facet pumps are available .

You are right about the fuel pump, not original - have a facet one, but it I can use the existing setup (that works perfect as is) that would be better.

    Cheers

That is not the original fuel pump. Correct NOS fuel pumps are not rare and are not expensive. Somebody gave me a NOS 1966 Hardi HZP in the box just this week.
