Correct side mirrors for a May 68 built USA spec

I have done some searching, looked at a lot of photos on this site and it seems the larger round style durant mirrors are correct for 68-71 in USA

Anyone got a different view please as I had a thought in my head that they should be the smaller style round durant.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

I hope this isn't a hijack of the thread, but what's the correct finish for a Durant mirror like the ones pictured? I've seen it referenced before as chrome, but it sometimes looks like a polished finish to me. thx!

Just to confuse the issue, my '68 (from the chassis number, an earlier build) had a small Durant when I acquired it
