'. . . US-spec example that was built in April 1973 and is finished in Silver Metallic over red leather. The numbers-matching 2.4L injected flat-six remains fitted and is paired with the numbers-matching Type 915 transaxle. Factory equipment includes a limited-slip differential, electric sunroof, raised steering wheel hub, fog lights, and power windows. The seller acquired the car six months ago, and work performed since included repainting the exterior in its original color and re-dying the red upholstery, as well as servicing the brakes with new pads and rotors. This 911S is now offered with a tool kit, binder of service records, photo album, Porsche Classic Technical Certificate, factory manuals, removed A/C components, and a clean California title in the sellerÂ’s name.

The car was delivered new in Silver Metallic and features an electric sliding sunroof, pop-out quarter windows, H1 headlights, and horn grille-mounted fog lamps. A windows-out repaint was recently performed, and stages of the process are depicted in the gallery below. The 911S-specific trim is retained, and new rubber seals and a Sekurit-branded tinted windshield have been fitted.

Refurbished 15″ Fuchs alloy wheels wear Porsche-crest center caps and are mounted with 185/70 Pirelli CN36 tires. A matching spare is stored in the front trunk, and braking is provided by ventilated discs all around. New front wheel bearings were recently installed along with new brake rotors, pads, and hydraulic fluid.

The seats are upholstered in red leather, and the color-matched door panels and dash feature contrasting black accents. Leather surfaces were recently re-dyed, and a new black dash pad and carpeting were installed. Amenities include power windows, a Blaupunkt radio, and three-point front seatbelts. Factory air conditioning components have been removed but are included in the sale, as pictured in the gallery.

The four-spoke steering wheel features new leather trim and is mounted to a factory-optional raised hub. VDO instrumentation includes a central 8k-rpm tachometer and a 150-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles and has turned over.

The 2.4-liter flat-six features mechanical fuel injection and was rated for 190 horsepower when new. The engine was rebuilt in 2007 by Air Cooled Classics of Knoxville, Tennesee, and upgraded with an oil bypass modification, oil-fed chain tensioners, 930 valve covers, and SSI heat exchangers. A dyno graph from December 2007 can be viewed in the gallery below. Recent servicing included changing the oil and installing a new distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, wires, and ignition points. A cold-start video can be viewed here.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle equipped with a limited-slip differential. New rear axles were fitted in 2020
