    My early 71 targa has one.

    So for MY 1973, was there a substantial redesign to the body structure that compensated for the deletion of the reinforcement bar?

    Tuned in for info, my 67 912 SWT had the first I saw and definitely looked to be an after thought, as above my 71 has one and one up in the garage from a parted out 68 SWT (yes today that looks stupid) whatever.
