New fuel gauge for new tank?

I’m going from the standard 62 liter tank to an 85 liter tank when I start restoration on Daisy, my 72 T. I believe the sender in there is good for both (if not, please LMK). However, I’m wondering if I need a different fuel gauge. Anyone do the same procedure?
    Thanks..

most of these gauges, the sender matches the gauge, and vice versa.

In other words, think of a milk carton that is the same height but a different width/depth.....if you had some gauge on it, the percentage of full to empty would appear the same, despite the fact that you are emptying/filling a much greater quantity.

The larger tanks get a little wonky as you approach full, because there is more volume towards the top compared to before you did the swap, but overall accuracy will be pretty similar.

    What size tank? . . .

    . . . 'cause --- if we're talking about the 100 litre (pn 901 201 010 31) . . . then the sender 's different (pn 901 741 801 01) . . .
