    Non-standard engine number question...

Anyone know what an engine number like this means? PS 883 011

It's a 3.2 that was installed in my 69 by a PO. I can't seem to find out anything about it in my searches.

The engine was created by an engine builder from a new blank crankcase. PS may be the engine builder, and the remaining numbers could be an invoice #.

    Hi Dave,

I was about to ask the same question for a motor I have which is also an irregular number. #3280689. Is there any way to "decode" these motors and learn more about them? Thanks. Name: IMG_E3F79438BBCA-1.jpg

    Thanks John,

Any idea of the year and size? I was under the impression it started with a 6 for six cylinders so I was quite confused. Thanks.

Thanks. Going to dig through my paperwork to see if I can track it down.
