A lightened flywheel + non-counterbalanced crank will make it spin up fast. Balance everything, there's meat to shave on the rods. Drill wrist pins.

Drill crankshaft for oiling from the centre journal, this means also modifying the bearings to provide an oil channel. Enlarge that bearing's oil hole in the block.

    Add Piston squirters.

There's some great posts here where a sporto oil pump has been used to pump oil around the transmission.

Check out (on youtube) the latest Jay Leno 911T. It is his brown one. He used the original case and built a 2.5 and explains it in some decent detail. I thought it was a fantastic idea.

I'm currently running a 2.3 twin plug motor, Motor was built by AASE Motors. I have ridden in several 2.5 cars as well as 2.3 cars all with just over 10:1 compression including mine. This motor combo is very streetable and delivers punch when tasked. Feel free to contact me directly and I can give you a few more of the details.
    Thanks,

Very nice vid indeed. Mirror of my car color wise (mine doesn’t have a 2.5 nor is it a ‘71 with brown interior) and nice to see how much he likes it.

I just posted a similar question in the Technical Forum. Would love to hear ideas as well for rebuilding my 66 2.0 liter motor.
