Who would of thought this could happen

I also posted this on my thread. I thought many of you who don't follow my 912 POLO car might find this interesting.

I was on the phone with Dean and he mentioned a project he is involved with. It's a company out of Culver City. They are building 12 912's that are kind of like a 912 Singer. My understanding is they are using Dean's short or long block as a base for the engine. Dean is under the impression they are developing a 4 valve head for the engine. If that comes to fruition I might see if I can get a set for my engine. It also has some kind of 6 speed transmission, carbon fiber wheels and who knows what else. Dean believes the first 2 have been sold for $750K. I hope so. If that's the case, I'm glad I built the first one. Maybe not to this level but a heck of a nice car for sure.

Goodness!! Not for everybody, but I really like that. Mirrors are a distraction though, and not keen on the ground effects..

I love the design, it aspires to be different (in a tastelful way)...quite a refreshing change given the numerous Singer wannabes popping up everywhere. I must admit for $750K, I'd still commision a Singer.

i know how much fun it is to built such a vehicle and how easy it is to get lost in design "ideas". they certainly put lots of heart and soul in it ...it also looks propperly engineered and crafted but now seeing the interior and detail pics... the hole thing smells like a mechanical engineer did the design( or best case a industrial design student)..and this simply does not work--not only in my world... for example how would one explain that the deck lid grille ,that probably also is made in carbon fibre, looks like cheap vac-formed plastic..and there is plenty of other design faux pas on this built ..to justify big bucks they need to hire a automotive designer first..ask Rob

to say something nice at least .... to my eye it appears that the flares have been slightly altered ....i like.(not the transition to the bumpers)

The blue 900 looks hideous. The 356 era whatever it is, is evocative of a 300SLR from the side. The ass end looks huge and out of proportion to me. For the money I'll stick to factory looks.
