Question about LWB Turn Signals and Taillights

    Hi guys...

I haven’t been around for a while. I trust everyone is staying safe and having a smooth ride.

I have a large project over the winter restoring a large pile of signal lights and I have a question. F Series LWB and subsequent G Series signal lights are pretty similar. But one difference is the drain holes on the bottom.

One of the housings pictured is NOS longhood LWB and the other is near NOS from a 1974 Euro Carrera. Can anyone tell me when the change occurred? Was it between F and G Series? Any other changes up to the 964?

Are they somewhat interchangeable or do you have to plug a hole and redrill another one?

Thanks for help. I need to add this to the AC information site.

    Stay safe,
    John

Thanks for the information J.P. And thanks for the loaner NOS housing! It arrived yesterday in perfect condition. I’m amazed at how primitive the outside surface is. I’ve evidently been over restoring them.

    Cheers,
