I thought the black painted rear fog lights are correct for '74 and later

If you say so, that could very well be true. I have not done much research on this subject. Perhaps the part number could provide an answer. I do not have a parts manual available. Anyone out there who can shed some light on this dark subject?

According to the date on the box October 16, 1984 these are not correct for the early 911's

The date on the box has nothing to do with the "correctness" of the part. Porsche could produce a part TODAY that's correct for 911 up to '73.

Having said that, these are G Model rear fogs, '74-ON. Both for the Case finish and the Lens style/shape.

Maybe these can't be correct for '74-ON because the date on the box is 1984???
