Questions about painting color rear deck lid - 68L

    Greetings,

As some of you may know, my 911L is now back to original color : Bahama Yellow (see thread 911L - 10 years waiting)
However, while searching for some pics of early 911s in Bahama Yellow through that awesome board, I found a thread mentioning paint details on a 67S.

    Soooo, mine a 911L (1968) and wonder if :
    - Should under rear engine grill have black paint ?
    - Should the rear deck hinge black too ?

    Cheers
    Xavier

Are you sure about that, what about the early 68 (my) cars built late 67 with a lot of the 67 (my) hangovers?
I seem to remember threads on this topic but can not remember the final word.

and .... just a heads-up .... in case you are using the 1967S thread .... the 1968 911L front trunk area was done differently .. No masking at all for the front slam panel area. seems there was a theme of saving time in masking in 1968 model year
