Batteries for LWB, who has them now? 69-73 double battery

I have used interstate batteries in the past, quality isn’t perfect but the fit was great. Seems like they just discontinued them

Where are you guys getting your batteries? Stock LWB size only, not interested in gel cell or some other size. If someone made a gel cell in black that was the exact same dimensions of that interstate batt then we would all be happy but I don’t think so.

Is there a stock replacement battery available form another manufacturer?

Hey JP, Sonnenscheins Have an additional detail like a size to go by? Or supplier. Or picture or link anyone? I see this link http://www.sonnenschein.org/A500.htm

Also I know the Porsche dealer batt is the Mol right? Anyone comment on those. I don’t want to spend a fortune every time I do these.

A search shows threads that are pretty old, just wonder what current option might be. I got into the habit of the interstate batteries for 15 years or so and now I’m left hanging.

Call Susie Morris at Lauderdale Battery:

    Susie Morris
    954-525-5557

The battery is the DF75 (Sonnenschein A512/40A). Susie knows her sh*t and deals with a lot of picky Porsche guys. The batteries are a perfect fit and I have been very pleased with mine. I have a couple backups at the shop on maintainers and I can take a photo for you tomorrow or Saturday if you'd like.

Good idea having a few extras, as last time I checked Lauderdale was back-ordered for a few months. They are close by, if anyone ever needs local help.
