    FS: Early 911 intake airbox

Air intake and filter box, complete with Weber tubs from my 1969 911T. Original condition. In storage since the mid-70s. Some light surface corrosion as shown. No other damage. All spring retainers intact. I know, the intake snorkel isn't pointing in the correct direction in the photos. $650 + shipping and PP fees.

The spring retainers are for a plastic housing , not your metal . ? Or maybe the birdbaths themselves are for a plastic housing .

Acknowledge your concern, however, I have yet to find compelling evidence spring retainers weren't available on air cleaners in '69. I bought my '69 in 1970. I don't think plastic airboxes were made in '69, at least for Webers.

Most pre-owned air boxes for sale don't include the tubs, and most tubs for sale don't include the retainers, spring type or otherwise. In addition, airboxes are being sold for the same price if not more without the tubs. If it makes potential buyers more secure in period correctness, I'll delete the offending tubs (and spring retainers) and sell just the upper airbox for the same price.
