    Golde sunroof deflector guide

My sunroof deflector is missing one of the nylon pieces that goes on the metal guide ( of which there are 4). This nylon piece is available from Sierra Madre.

How is this nylon piece affixed to the metal guide?Name: 74187411-D5CC-41C6-8C11-1B5EB343AEDA.jpg

    Hi Brent,
I needed one of those too but couldn't face spending $45 plus shipping to UK for a small piece of plastic. Instead I found a piece of plastic (the lid from a pot of shaving cream) and had my restorer cut it to size and he glued it with urethane adhesive. You really cannot notice the difference.
    Kind regards
    Gitesh

Thanks Gitesh. Justifying the absurd price of $45 would require that the piece of nylon has been machined to close tolerances to properly mate with its aluminum counterpart without the need for glue, which is why, in part, I posted the original question. If the $45 part requires adhesive, then fashioning one's own part starts to make good sense.
