1966-1967 door handles, Innies or Outies

The lock cylinders on door handles changed somewhere between 1966 and 1967. The early ones are concave (innie) later ones are convex (outie) -- see photos. This is recorded as a 1967 MY change, but have no idea if it really is. I believe that I am the source, which makes it worse. If this has been previously researched, please enlighten me. I am interested in 1966 cars with original door handles with outies -- or 1967 cars with original door handles with innies. Door locks should use the same key as the ignition as far as I know.

Anyway here are the two variations. White car innie, red car outie.

This is from the passenger side of 304598, Kardex date 26 May 1966 [I know they're 'innies' but the date might help]:

Thanks, so after May 1966 -- good -- close to end of 1966 model year date. Everything helps. I'm still not wrong -- yet...

Since the door locks match the ignition, you should be able to figure out which -- if either -- is original -- unless, of course, the ignition switch has been replaced.

Thanks, I’ll give that a try. Need to locate the key first.

Found the key! Works on the concave lock on the passenger side!! Perhaps the driver side ( convex ) possibly replaced. Only piece missing is the ignition, which I. still need to locate!!
