Part received (901-613-160-03 $184 for a plastic circle!). It's identical to what I have. I realized the aftermarket basketweave in my car is thicker than the stock stuff, so the bezel does not fully cinch up to the key chrome. It's just an illusion caused by a slightly bigger gap -- the part I have already is correct. Sorry to the OP: not sure I helped, but I did learn something.

It's not about "early or late" it is actually about locking or non locking switches. I'm pretty sure that all US delivered cars had non locking ign switches and had a larger hole in the bezel for the key opening. ROW cars had locking switches and had a smaller diameter hole for the the key (until 1970 when all switches used the larger hole). That plastic bezel is completely wrong for either application.

    Jim,
What do you mean "That plastic bezel is completely wrong for either application"? I am not following what you mean.
    Thx

The disc in the middle of the bezel should be smooth like post # 8. I don't know that that thing is on your car but it is wrong. Paying $184.00 for that thing is really wrong!

It is smooth. The flash, reflection or movement of my hand must have created that effect in my prior photo. It is identical in every way to the Porsche part.

As the proud owner of the ignition bezel shown in post #8, I went out to the garage on this cold winter’s day and measured the inner diameter...it’s 16mm.

Yup, that is indeed the correct part.
