    Another inertia seat belt question....

    Hi

I have a 1971 car With Sport seats and I am installing 3 point inertia seat belts...I’ve searched and read many of the threads...but before I install I want to make sure I do it right.

As per the attached diagram, I have 3 attach points marked on the attached photo - in addition to the receiver.

    1) Attach 1 - The Reel, attach to the thread near the wheel well? Or at the very bottom of the B pillar ?

    2) Attach 2 attaches to the top of the B pillar

    3) Attach 3 attach to the seat or to the Rocker ?

Anyone have two of item 10 for sale - the backing plates ?

    Thanks.....

Your picture shows the 72/73 RePa reels set up but similar to the 69-71 version which used Autoflug reels. Different backing plate though..
Still mounting is the same, reel on the thread on the wheelwell.
You will not have a thread on the rocker in a 71, that is only on the 72/73 RS's. So yours goes on the seat frame (Sport seat) or a L bracket with Comfort seats. Of course you can weld a 7/16" UNF thread on the rocker.
