    '. . . delivered new to Germany on 03rd January 1973.

A very nice article retracing the history of this car was published in the famous magazine "Flat Six".

The car is 100% Matching, 100% restored and in new condition . . .

. . . total restoration was carried out in 2015 at Marc De Siebenthal (Meca Components) - Porsche specialist based in Switzerland.

All invoices and pictures relating to the restoration and all the work carried out in recent years are available on request

From Bonham's blurb: It appears that the engine has been upgraded to 2.8-litre specification. It is the correct type of engine and has been re-stamped with the number '6630225', which matches the aforementioned Porsche certificate (same for the gearbox).

Surprised it has the front slam panel with “drains” and the rear slam panel with the raised square for a first 500 series RS built that early on the run?

Was this the RS that came out of Japan via Symbolic, was then owned by Rob Wolford, and then....???

An interesting question about this vehicle would be why it does not show the "asterisks" on its VIN plate.

making detail in the image... if you can see the asterisk on one of the sides.

another interesting question would be because the certificate shows only one option... and the article says to have others...

"One of the first 200 Carrera 2.7 RS models built, this desirable 1st series (thin steel) RS Touring was completed on 1st December 1972 and registered in January 1973. The car left the factory finished in Bahia Red (its present colour) with black leatherette interior, as confirmed by the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity on file. The RS was delivered new to Glöckler in Frankfurt, Germany with two options: '410' (Sport Seat Left) and '490' (retractable antenna)."

Why can Porsche communicate different extras for the same vehicle if they are supposedly based on "a single DB"?
Why was such a "low" chassis delivered "so late"? Taking mine as a reference and not having put much time into the Porsche dates, its creation, etc... This VIN should not be finished in December close to 500 instead of 200 and more interesting is that it is named as the first 200. Being "so late" I understand that the production of those cars had started 4/5* months before the delivery of 192 or am I wrong about several things?

another interesting thought is...since the motor was "resealed". Why not use the correct "asterisk"/"star" stamps? But more intriguing to me is why having the "original" stamp present on the casing on one side, there is an asterisk on the other. I would also like to ask. Porsche use the same seals to seal engine cases and seal the front plate of the vin? (the one that is located under the hood)
    image.jpg
I understand that they used the 911/83 matching casing. Does it mean that the original number of that casing was partially erased, Original for the model, the "new" number was installed and then the side that had been "scratched" was sealed? If not, I don't understand the mixture of symbols when sealing the engine.
